Something I learned about the creative process that changed my whole way of thinking is that there’s no such thing as an original idea. I’ve had entire projects inspired by a single shoe, an idea for hair, a nail polish color, the list goes on – but I like finding inspiration in the obscure and building a whole fantasy around that. What did and still does your creative process look like, from conceptualizing a look to bringing it to life on stage or in front of the camera? And I’ll be there looking old and fabulous. Whether it’s in fashion, film, advocacy, or education – drag will have a place. I think in the future, drag will be treated like any other career and have pockets in every industry. The only constant about drag is that it’s always been around. That’s the thing about drag – it’s completely unpredictable. How do you see the future of drag and what role do you hope to play in its continued evolution? I truly believe without that show, I wouldn’t have found the courage to transition as soon and as I did.ĭrag is constantly changing. I learned why I did drag in the first place for my own entertainment, and I was forced to peel back the layers of myself and realize that there was much more bubbling under the surface that I never faced. I came to a lot of realizations while filming season 12. I owe so much of who I am today to that show, but I am such a different person now than I was back then. Reflecting back on the journey, how did the experience on the show influence your drag career and personal growth? Most of us got to know you during the 12th season of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’. Her influence also extends into fashion, where her unique style and artistic vision have solidified her as a trendsetter. Beyond the screen, she is an active advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and self-acceptance, earning recognition as a role model and trailblazer. Her unforgettable journey on Season 12 of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ left a mark on fans worldwide. And the final floor, sub themed “An Air of Preciousness,” featured satin minaudière box clutches, graphic sequined drop earrings and bracelets and enameled floral hair clips and matching headbands.Gigi Goode is a radiant force captivating the world with her stunning looks and fierce charisma. Vivier himself and reimagined by Felloni, were highlighted as well. Large displays of the brand’s iconic Viv Canard shoe, designed by Mr. The “Shape of Lightness,” the sub theme of the third floor, was a nod to the swinging ’60s with a fluffy white carpet, which were supposed to be fluffy clouds. The “I Love Vivier” slender pump slingback heel shoe was one of these, a reimagined shoe with leather lattice work. Hearts, reds and pinks were boldly on display with shoes and handbags. The “Heart of Passion” was the sub theme for the second floor. On each floor were live demonstrations of craftsmen designing shoes and bags with Roger Vivier know-how. It’s also in this space that pieces from the collection done in watercolor tie-dye were on display, including the multicolored Viv Choc bag. A bridge surrounded by garden foliage with flowing water underneath brought Monet to life. On the ground floor, the sub theme of “The Craft of Color” was an ode to French Impressionist painter Claude Monet and his gardens in Giverny.
